When we heard that two of our favourite modern smooth musicians Kimchii and Anoraak planned on working together, we were superthrilled, because we knew this would be a match made in heaven. What we didn’t know is that they enjoyed it so much, but hated the Corona distance between Stockholm and Marseille, that they would come up with one of the warmest, almost life-saving quarantine live videos for this new song. „Windsurf” is a sun-drenched, laidback modern electronic disco track, that will help you dream away to your next holiday in the south.
Yes, you might have heard the original version on THE SUNSET MANIFESTO. And, yes, what a coincidence that there was sunshine both in Stockholm and Marseille on that same day! Looks like the Westcoast….

ANORAAK: Anoraak is Frédéric Rivière, a French musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and DJ from Marseille. He has established himself in the last years as a leading force in the sunset inspired nu-disco scene. He used to be part of the band Pony Pony Run Run, released 3 albums and many more tracks on influential electronic labels Eskimo Recordings, Naïve before forming his own imprint Endless Summer Music, his latest EP came out on Yuksek’S Partyfine. KIMCHII: New Stockholm-based producer, DJ and performer Kim Söderlund, Kimchii already has a characteristic dreamy yet danceable, hazy sound. “Windsurf” which we present here, finds a Swedish producer in French riviera mood at sunset (when else?). Satie-esque touches abound and when you open your eyes you might be unsure of the time... 2019 was a landmark year for Kimchii, collaborating with DJ duo Rebecca & Fiona, producing the track “One More Night” (Kimchii Remix). His debut single “When You Feel The Time Is Right” was released the following year, by Kitsuné Musique, followed by a second single “Free Mind”, which was released on Rebecca & Fionas label - Big Romantic Music. We shall politely speculate that ‘Free Mind’ is clearly an insight into the inspiration this new artistic career has provided.
